I am a Mexican-born arts worker, interdisciplinary artist, and facilitator living and working in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
My creative practice includes mixed media, digital art, and community arts, exploring themes of home and memory. Using linocut, photography, and collage primarily, I use imagery from my surroundings to reflect on belonging, change, and my cultural roots.
As an arts worker, I have developed and coordinated grant-funded community arts initiatives, professional development opportunities, and mentorship programs for emerging artists, newcomer and immigrant communities, and youth artists.
I have worked with grassroots collectives and arts organizations such as Creato Community, Culture Days National, the Oakville Arts Studio, the Canadian Tapestry and Texture Centre, the Harriet Tubman Institute at York University, ArtHouse Halton, and the MUSE Arts Creative Lab to develop and deliver these programs.
