Community Creations

Community Creations was a workshop series by Creato that fostered collaborative art-making and storytelling for newcomer, immigrant, and refugee artists in Toronto.

Led by artists Luisé Cisneros and Carla Sierra Suárez, the program featured papel picado (cut paper) and collage poetry workshops, creating space for collective artistic expression, community healing, and mutual care.

Developed for Creato Community, Community Creations took place in July and August 2024 at the MUSE Arts Creative Lab, with support from the Toronto Arts Council.
